Support Team Holm Racing

Ask anyone who has seen it, and they'll tell you that bobsledding is one of the fastest and most entertaining sports in the world. Where else can you put your mental and physical abilities to the test at such high speeds on ice? It's fast, its exciting and it's a lot of fun.

It's also more expensive that most people realize.

Some estimates rank bobsled as the second-highest sport out of all the events in the Olympic Games, topped only by the monumental fees involved in the sport of Equestrian.

Why is it so costly? In order to compete, each season every team must raise the funds necessary to train, compete, get the fastest equipment and also cover the basics needs of life: food, shelter, travel, etc. Add that to the trade-off of training versus working a job and you can understand where the need for financial support comes in. If you factor in the sleds that cost tens of thousands of dollars plus the runners, uniforms, shoes, helmets and other basic sport equipment, you can see why the price tag is so high.

We dedicate much of our time and energies as possible to working to pay for our bobsledding goals, but it can be difficult to work fulltime and try to train and compete at the top levels of one's ability.

This is why we as a team seek out sponsorships and donors to help us make our bobsledding dreams come true.
